Free Video E-card

For those of us with extended family in India or other far away places, Jalapenyo offers a personalized video e-card service. According to the Jalapenyo site, a video ecard is an online greeting card featuring your personal video. When you send a video ecard, the recipients get an email with a link to the card that you’ve created. When they click the link, they see your video playing inside a beautifully designed, personalized ecard.

I’ve tried it – Sent the grandparents a video of the kids screaming and shouting – it’s relatively easy to use and best of all IT”S FREE for the next 30 days . There is a size limit of 15 MB video format but it’s still totally worth trying out

You can make a a video ecard for any occasion. For instance:

    – A birth announcement with baby’s first cry at the hospital
    – Your child singing Happy Birthday to Grandma
    – Holiday wishes from the whole family

After the free 30 day period, the cost is 0.99 cents per card, it can be sent to 10 people at one time and is stored for 30 days

Definitely better than buying a regular paper card and hoping it reaches abroad in time. Do give it a try and let me know how you like it at hindumommy (at) yahoo (dot) com
