You gotta go when you gotta go …unless you scratch your leg

According to this article in the Sydney Morning Herald,

About one in three Australian women who have had a baby report poor bladder control – a significant statistic affecting quality of life.

Women with the problem are commonly advised to exercise to strengthen their pelvic floor muscles, but continence expert Janetta Webb has a bizarre quick-fix solution.

“If you scratch or rub the back of your calf for a few moments, really vigorously, you may interrupt the message from your bladder to your brain just long enough for you to make it to the toilet,” Ms Webb said
